On the Unit of measurement questions we get from customers:
Currently we do not import unit of Measure (UofM) from your source ERP system and we don't really need to.
Our unit of measurement is applied 90% to the value of test results not the quantities as they are measured or counted in inventory. The only time we worry about a quantity type unit of measure is if we are doing a pass/fail quantity test. In that case we do have to have the unit of measure in our table. So it is possible that a customer will need to enter some ‘duplicate’ uom data in our system but it will only be for those items where they are doing pass / fail quantity tests.
That being said, not all companies are the same so if you have a custom Unit Of Measure issue that you would like discuss with us please contact our support desk.
